About the Organiser

The Zen Rooms

The Zen Rooms

I’m Neil Perry-Timson, a Reiki teacher, yoga instructor and holistic wellbeing practitioner, as well as the founder of The Zen Rooms and Zen Community Hub.

I created The Zen Rooms to provide a welcoming place where people can discover trusted practitioners, services, events and supportive resources to help them explore holistic wellbeing and personal development. I later founded Zen Community Hub to make wellbeing activities more accessible within local communities, particularly for people who may feel isolated, overwhelmed or unable to access traditional support.

Through my own work, I offer Reiki, yoga, meditation, sound healing, spiritual development and a range of relaxing wellbeing experiences. My approach is warm, inclusive and down-to-earth. I aim to create calm, supportive spaces where people can feel comfortable, connect with others, build confidence and explore practices that support their physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing at a pace that feels right for them.

Good to know

Essential information to help you prepare for this event.

What to bring, accessibility & other info

Lunch and drinks: A light lunch and drinks will be provided. Please let me know in advance about any dietary requirements or allergies. You are also welcome to bring your own lunch.

What to wear: Please wear comfortable clothing so you can relax and practise easily throughout the day.

What to bring: A notebook and pen can be useful for recording anything you would like to remember.

Arrival: Please aim to arrive around 10–15 minutes early so you have time to settle in.

During the day: Reiki One includes both teaching and practical experience. There is no “right” way to experience an attunement, and everyone responds differently.

After your attunement: You may wish to observe the traditional 21-day cleansing and reflection period by giving yourself time to rest, practise Reiki and make supportive choices for your wellbeing.

Aftercare: If possible, keep the rest of the day fairly gentle, drink plenty of water and allow yourself time to reflect.

Accessibility: Please let me know in advance about any accessibility needs, health concerns or adjustments that would help you feel comfortable during the day.
