About the Organiser

The Zen Rooms

The Zen Rooms

I’m Neil Perry-Timson, a Reiki teacher, yoga instructor and holistic wellbeing practitioner, as well as the founder of The Zen Rooms and Zen Community Hub.

I created The Zen Rooms to provide a welcoming place where people can discover trusted practitioners, services, events and supportive resources to help them explore holistic wellbeing and personal development. I later founded Zen Community Hub to make wellbeing activities more accessible within local communities, particularly for people who may feel isolated, overwhelmed or unable to access traditional support.

Through my own work, I offer Reiki, yoga, meditation, sound healing, spiritual development and a range of relaxing wellbeing experiences. My approach is warm, inclusive and down-to-earth. I aim to create calm, supportive spaces where people can feel comfortable, connect with others, build confidence and explore practices that support their physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing at a pace that feels right for them.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I attend just the Sound Bath?

Absolutely! You can book the Sound Bath on its own, from 6.45–7.45 pm. Please arrive shortly before 6.45 pm and wait near the Eleanor Adams Room entrance until I welcome you in, allowing the Yoga session to finish peacefully.

Can I attend just the Yoga session?

Yoga is only available as part of our combined Yoga & Sound Bath experience. The Sound Bath replaces the traditional relaxation at the end of Yoga, creating a complete 90-minute session.

Do I need any previous Yoga or Sound Bath experience?

Not at all! Everyone is welcome, including complete beginners. Our gentle Zen Yoga offers options to suit different abilities, and during the Sound Bath, all you need to do is get comfortable, relax and enjoy the experience.

What should I bring with me?

Please wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move and relax easily. I have Yoga mats available for you to borrow, but you're very welcome to bring your own if you prefer.

For the Sound Bath, I recommend bringing a blanket and cushion to help you feel warm, cosy and comfortable. You may also wish to bring a bottle of water.

If lying down isn't comfortable for you, you're more than welcome to enjoy the Sound Bath while seated.
